Ajo Sacha is a plant native to the Amazon. It’s Spanish name literally means ‘false garlic’ referring to the smell and taste when the leaves are crushed. In the Amazon it is used as a condiment or spice. Indigenous tribes use the leaves, vine, bark, and root. Most consider the plant to be magical or spiritual and capable of driving away evil spirits or used for good luck. The leaves contain anti-inflammatory and antibacterial plant steroids.
